As far as I know the word "FUCKTARD" came from the word "retard" as if referring to a person with a mental disabilty. A derogatory term at it's worse.

But I'm sure we all know that no one in cyber land other than some worthless piece of human skin would use such a term-------------- now don't we?

I don't know where it originated, but it was before Jamie came on the scene in our little circle. I first saw it coming from Ross during a ranting tirade (pick one, there were a lot of them) and I laughed so hard I had to explain to my husband what was so funny on the screen.

Yeah I know it's not a polite word but you have to admit it's a goodie for those special occasions when nothing with less venom will do.

Reminds me of the old Redd Foxx routine about folks who wouldn't say swear words. He said he'd take you out to the parking lot, slam your fingers in the car door, THEN you'd say the "f" word among others)

I was surfing in a strange locale and read some poster use the fucktard word. I dunno if it's someone from TRS or that word has a wider use than just here.

I've always thought of it as being a Ross-ism or a Fop-ism .. but I've seen it other places online (non-OAI) as well ...

I've always thought it was one of the uglier words given the accepted definition of it (as a contraction) ...

But who knows? Between now and the election, I just might start throwing those nasty words around a bit more freely ...

One of the young women I work with recently told me she'd invented a new word. Yep, you guessed it! She said she was mad at a bad driver and she just came out with it. I didn't tell her--I just let her think she was clever and creative.

Years ago, as I recall, it was a given, (to my knowlege) that it was a
'Ross Original'.
