I work on a lot of reserves.

One of the features of reserves up here is a ton of dogs running around lose.

In fact if you see a dog on a chain, theres a reason and thats one dog you stay away from.

One of the positives is that there are always some of the cutest puppies running around. DW is always sure I'm going to come home with one, and in fact theres been lots of times when I sure wanted to.

One of the negatives is that its fairly common to see a dog with a face full of quills.

Now going up to a strange dog in pain, would probably not be the smartest thing for me to do. But it rips my guts out everytime I see it.

How do you get quills out? They're like fish hooks and barbed at the ends aren't they?

A lot of times when I see them, they are already obviously infected.

hard to do on a dog that knows & trusts you. dam tough on a dog that doesn't know you. good luck. rez's are bad for people, worse for cats and dogs.
