I take this has been done with your tacit approval, and it is somehow completely different to the situation that I found myself in, where I was accused of using my mod powers to further my own agenda. If only I had known what I was allying myself to in accepting a position on your board. I'm surprised that you are still having to beg, considering that you should be able to raise $480 (1 year at $40 per month) if just 24 of your keen posters offered only $20 each. As for my treatment of poor little 3P.... Kris had (and has since removed) her pinned post demanding that people treat others with "respect". I guess, I took that to heart, and oh dear me! I gave poor little 3P a warning about her behaviour, of telling me to fuck off in a separate post to her reply to a thread. Because she was deliberately being abusive. Wow... she sure got devastated by being given an internet warning, didn't she? Yeah, I can see how much tidying up that would have needed. She must have been a little puddle.

Anyway, back to the topic at hand...

So, if you began the fund-raising drive in November, and you have enough until "spring"... let's see... November to say, May... that's 6 months, being generous.

So, so far, you have probably raised $240 at most. A dozen people giving $20. About a third of the active posters. That gives some context to the success of the filling of the begging bowl.

There haven't been any other topics that have really grabbed me here lately, so that's why I have only posted to this one. I hadn't realised there was a quota on how many posts to a single thread that could be done, or that there was a requirement to post to a variety of threads. Is this another new rule that hasn't been publicised?

I know... I could always go and c&p those sterling contributions that Shawn has supplied, and sprinkle them judiciously through a variety of other threads if you like. Would that suit? They weren't relevant or contribute anything to those threads, so they should be a universal fit, eh?

Massive sinus infection happening everywhere. I picked it up in Alabama. It had been within my family a couple weeks when I got there. Get back home and folks here had come down with it while I was gone. Two weeks into it I had to go to an ENT. The antibiotics are NASTY. After taste from hell. Make you nauseous. Ugh. And I blew my nose so much I overinflated my eustachean tube or something like that. So it wasn't fluid in there so much as the "diver" thing going on.
