I know I'm sorry, but I'm spending a lot of time there and am interested in the things I'm finding.

I'm surprised at all the one day listings I'm finding. I always figured get the most exposure you can get.

I never paid for more days, but I never took less than I had paid for.

Did ebay do something about shipping?

International shipping used to be a license to steal, I've been very surprised with the reasonable shipping rates I'm finding.

How are your Christmas sales? Are the final sale prices I'm seeing now inflated?

I'm buying for myself so I was wondering if I would be better off waiting.

You know when I sold I prefered Jan. over Dec.

I found the prices were just as good but you didn't have to deal with people in a panic.

I used to send lots of replies "no it won't get there for Christmas, but it will make a swell Valentines day gift".

Buyers how high would you go for an item on ebay?

I still think of ebay as a garage sale, your buying something sight unseen, and theres a chance you'll never get it. So for me its like gambling, I only bid what I can afford to lose.

Doofy, I check around. I've been looking at books lately (for me, not gifts), and I'm shocked that most are at the price Amazon charges or even more! I have the Amazon free two-day shipping plan, no tax, and end up with a smaller payment going there. Often I get stuff from Amazon the next day. No small seller can beat that.

I can't believe that an eBay seller expects to sell second hand books (yes, they're USED) at the same or more than retail and that people will buy them.

I check around with other things, too, and often find the same thing.

So what I buy on eBay now are things I can't get anywhere else for the price, or things that I can't get anywhere else at all. Sometimes that does mean foreign sellers, but it's worth it to me, even though the postage will be high.

I've gotten rare stuff, cheap stuff, and so on from eBay. There's also a lot of handmade stuff I really like (crochet and knitting needles, jewelry) from sellers I couldn't buy elsewhere.

eBay still has things worth the money.
