In the tool bar, click on "Quick Links." In the drop-down box there is a selection for new posts and mark forums read.

Back to say that under "Forum Tools" you can mark that particular forum (the one you're in) as read.

Quick Links and User CP are your best friends on vBulletin, once an admin gets all the "hacks" installed. vBulletin is one of the best systems out there, IMO.

Once Ross gets the Chat hack installed here, you can see who's in chat before going in by using the Quick Links feature; it will say "Who's Chatting"; click on that and it says who is in the chat room, or if indeed, anyone is in there.

There's all sorts of other cool hacks you can install. One makes it so that a person's sig only shows up with their first post to any particular thread. Any post made on the same thread, thereafter, doesn't show the sig. You can also install this nifty little "store" where people earn points with each post; you use these points to change your custom title, or give someone else a custom title, change your user name, make your username glow, or make it bold, or make it a color. You can donate points to someone else - and the most fun - you can steal other people's points, lol. You can also give "gifts" to a user, which are little emotes under their usernics - for ex. someone could gift OC with the boobie emote. :lol

You can also install the Arcade hack, and play arcade games and become "Champion of Frogger" or which arcade games are installed.

There's another lovely little feature here that Ross can use with trolls, but I won't broadcast it. Might come in handy. ;)
