If you haven't downloaded this yet, do it ~~ it's remarkable. Make sure to take the Grand Canyon tour.

Wow, this IS really neat. I once looked into something like this but you had to pay a subscription fee. Glad google has a freebie version. Tilting down into the canyon was cool! It doesn't work as well with my house which is a relief. Top view is enough. Don't need those satellites to be looking sideways into my windows!
Thanks for the link. When I show the kids, I'll have a tough time getting my computer back...;)

Unfortunately, I'm still operating with a 28.80 modem and dialup taboot.
Then why do you buy a brand new computer every 6 months? Do you buy the same outdated machine over and over, or do you upgrade? And I thought you had cable. Robbie, http://www.theauctionwatch.com/forums/images/smilies/porkies.gif

We were playing around with this at work the other day, but I didn't think to do something like a Grand Canyon tour!

I *had* to drag this thread back up to say thank-you again for posting this link!
I knew it would be a great educational tool for my kids, but I had no idea I'd be using it so much for real-estate! My cousin is looking for a house to buy and being able to zoom in on any location so easily, then tilt to see the elevation & hills has been a fabulous tool!
For example, we knew one house was near a gravel bank, but from the ground you really didn't get the same perspective as looking down from above.
So thanks, gigilee, I probably wouldn't have known this existed if you didn't post it here on TRB! :)
