How on earth did I end up with -$38 in the Community Chest for Time For?

The subs were running out, and at the time of the hack some money appeared in the chest. I paid the subs for Gold, and thought that was the end of it. Now, it has gone into negative. What will they do? Take the Gold away from my account?

What I'd *really* like to see is ALL the EZ-Boards we have in common 'build a room' in Ross's mansion... there could be Z's DELI, Miv's SPECTRUM ( -my favorite part of your board, Mivona), The Ice-something ( -all things science, and more), Gamma & Wench's celebrity/Hollywood-oriented 'theater', KatieP's/PaleRyder's Ghost Town -- coop and all, Newsy's BEANS and Oddy's NUTS... all in one place.

It just seems to me that we're spread out all over the Internet... takes me days to "make the rounds"... yet what a vibrant, eclectic Community The Ross Show would be if all these special "flavors" that have evolved on (fucktard) EZ-Board came together under one roof!

Well, I don't want to step on anyone's toes... I know that all of the board owners in question have worked long and hard (okay, maybe not Oddy, hahaha!) at creating unique and interesting places, and that they've all got a perfect right to be proud of their endeavors and feel kind of "weird" about a suggestion to condense them into their own forums here at TRS. Hell, maybe Ross hates the idea, and would be horrified if 2,000 posters migrated to this board.

Honestly, I see the EZ-Boards like Iceholes and TUS struggling along for posters and topics... yet if their focus was brought here, each given their own free-reign forum, I can see a much greater interest being generated by all us readers and a lessening of the need to 'keep things moving' for their "owners".

I'm glad some of you like the idea... I'm hoping Ross will at least consider making the offer to host as your EZ-Board subscriptions expire...

Well, maybe two birds could be killed with one stone. . .each of the other boards might be given forums, here, where links are posted to topics of interest, back at their EZ homeboard.

It would put some focus on them, at the TRS root, but also leave them independent, and r0ss could still go there, and not be an owner. I understand what r0ss means, it's nice to be just a poster and not an owner, sometimes. Sometimes, it's nicer to be an owner. But vacations to boards you don't own are good.

I do like your idea, fop. I'm looking to create a blended concept, here. ;)

How about one forum for all of the other boards, restricted to posting links to threads and/or other items of interest, only by the owners and administrators of these boards? Doing it like that may make it easier to manage.

Sorry about your Community Chest glitch Mivona. Crazy shit going on at EZ, I guess. :(

I think those boards would lose their identities if anyone tried to consolidate them. (Don't know how the individual owners feel, but that's how I'd feel.) Anyway, Ross, if you felt like it, you could always make a sidebar with links to the boards, like Zelda does. Or, you could just continue pointing to the interesting stuff. Either method works for me.

I put a ticket in late last night, but have had no reply. How long do they normally take to respond?

It doesn't seem right to me that Ezboard can take all the money that was donated to Ross. I would like to encourage those who made donations to re-direct it to the other Ezboards still online (yeah, maybe even mine), so that it doesn't go to Ezboard for nothing.

I think it sucks that they can dump your board and keep the fees.

Back OT - I like the links to the side thing. While it would be great to have everyone under one umbrella, I know Ross has more fun when he can just go be "Ross" instead of "Boss". I don't mind the travelling around too much, but I do tend to miss places here and there it seems like. Besides...no chat here! We need EZ so we can have roving chat!

I agree that an eBay specific area would be terrific too. The problem with that is keeping all the T&S stuff out of it so the information wouldn't get muddled up.

Miv just be careful about how many new questions you put on your existing ticket. Each time you add to it, it goes back to the bottom of tickets to be answered.

Mivona, did the money just "appear" in your chest? When the $500+ showed up in Ross's chest, I went to see who donated. The donations didn't add up to that big amount, and I always assumed it was part of the hacking thing. That may have bitten your board, too, but you got a chance to "spend" the money and ezboard is trying to get it back.

I put in another ticket, as I don't have anything for the first one - not even a ticket number acknowledgement, so I could trace where it is. I've written down the Ticket Key this time, so I can see if it is ever responded to.

should have your board $-42, not -38.

There was $110 on 1/1/04, then gold was purchased 3/4/04 for $58, there were two member withdrawals totalling $40, and gold was purchased again 5/31/04 for $54. That should put you at -42, not -38.

If there was any activity more recent than the May purchase it should show up. If there were contributions, there is no record of them now. I'd say the board is on the hook for the balance.

If Ezboard can't make a simple addition and subtraction add up, how much confidence can I have in their accounting?

I don't know anything about Trojans, but if there is something that is not right, please help me sort it out. I don't want people to be picking up stuff like that.

I just had new funds materialize in my Community Chest, also. It appears EZ gave me back the $9.95 payment I made to buy the 3-Month Gold. It happened, in the last day or so.

I've just opened a ticket, to alert them to the event. Since they'll realize their mistake when I pay again, based on what happened to Miv, it seems like I better get the phantom funds out of my chest, fast.

I think all of us EZ board owners should double check the contributions for accuracy.

Also, new members with one post are getting bounced by EZ again, I noticed. Bah.

Up to a week. Just don't post to your ticket again, as someone else said, as it will push it to the bottom of the queue, again.

About the only thing you can do is post to the help forum, and reference your ticket number.

Just don't post to the ticket, or you'll screw yourself.
