I really dislike inaccuracy, so I am going to respond to this post, even though I normally avoid poll threads in general.

Jay. There are a couple hundred posters at TRB. A handful of people have a beef with Maui, and most of those beefs are personal. That hardly constitutes a majority (do the math).

I have no idea what you mean about 'comments or suggestions re her name' ... that sentence just doesn't make any sense ...

I haven't seen anybody 'try to play the fool or innocent' with her either. People are pretty upfront with Maui, no matter which way things are going at any given time ... she doesn't mince words, neither do most people that interact with her. She'd probably agree with that, too.

I'm not quite sure why you are even posting about this, Jay? What is your involvement in all of this? It's clearly not your favorite group of folks, and I'm betting the feeling is mutual for the most part. Even Maui asked you somewhere here to drop it. But if you insist on posting about it, please be accurate. Speaking for myself, when I see something Maui says that ticks me off, I say so. When I see something she says that's right, I say so. Others interact with her in their own ways - there is no 'majority' of anything here at TRB - good grief, even those of us who consider this a 'home board' acknowledge the fact that we're a collection of various sub-groups with their own personal interests/grudge matches/friends/whatevers.

Now, if I remember, I'll look back here after while, but there is currently an important issue going on at TRB, far more important than the opinions of a brawlin', cussin', allegedly bigoted newbie who's trying to start something and has been trying to do so for days here, so I may forget to check back. I've seen you say so many times that you think you scare us. Could you explain to me why you believe that? I for one don't fear you in any way, and I don't think anyone else does.

You've already repeated everything told to you in confidence, so it couldn't be a blackmail thing. It can't be just because you're outspoken, because many of us are outspoken. You've called most of us every nasty name there is, so you're not going to hurt anyone by doing that.

You also say you're here because you can, like that's some kind of power. We are all free to post here or not, it doesn't make you special. You seem to think it makes you appear strong, to post at various boards where you're not liked or wanted. If anything it makes you look weak and needy. Wanting to be a part of something, even if it's negative. I can only imagine how lonely you are, to put yourself in this position. Sometimes I just plain feel sorry for you. As I said before, I did think the results would be interesting. And I meant it, whichever way the poll turned out. I never for one minute thought Ross would ban you, but maybe the results will help you to stay on topic a little better in the future. Or not.
