How sad. Timmy was the best part of this odd little soap opera called Passions. I did shed a tear for such a talented young man.

Quote:
"We are deeply saddened by the sudden and tragic loss of Josh Ryan Evans," reads a statement from NBC. "He was a truly unique talent with a remarkable spirit. He will be sorely missed by his Passions family and by all of us at NBC."

Timmy was arguably Passion's most popular character, and Evans earned a Soap Opera Digest Award as Favorite Scene Stealer and a Daytime Emmy nomination for the part.

Ironically, Evans' death came on the same day his ailing character Timmy bid adieu to his Passions pals.

NBC says Evans had taped the show weeks ago and was scheduled to have a temporary hiatus while doctors decided whether the actor needed heart surgery. However, this being a soap opera--and even loopier than most other daytime dramas--Timmy was supposed to be resurrected when Evans was ready to return to the series, likely at the end of the summer.

Good bye, Timmy.

Ross I am in mourning with you.
How will they ever close todays episode? I wonder if the writers would have done it differently,
if they knew the little guy really was dying. On the show everybody is dying and coming back. But, this
time its for real.
You know I really was never aware of his real age he was 20 years old. He was the best thing that
ever happenned to soaps.

Thanks, Zelda.

I was so crying just a few moments ago, Juliet Mills was on the Today Show.

Anyway, here's a thread from the PASSIONS E-Z Board.

I never watched the soap, but I would catch glimpses of him channel surfing when I was home during the day. I wondered about him--he really did look like a little boy, and he struck me as awfully talented.

It is a shame he died so young, but boy, at least he had the opportunity to hit some high notes.
