Only you can see the red dot. It means you are "invisible" aka your preferences are set so your name doesn't show up to others on the list at the bottom and they see a clear dot meaning you may or may not be here where a green dot means that person is still here. (Sorry for the run-on sentence). On OTWA there is about a 30 minute lag time so the name and green dot can still be there for a while after you are gone...

Finally got the DSL modem and software installed, so getting used to the new interface (after more than a decade on aolhell, the last several years on a 56K modem).

My puter is zipping along nicely, but there is some goof up with my phone line. Been this way since Tuesday. Why did the phone company send a tech to my house today when I told them I wasn't home?

Cause the phone cmpany is a bunch of morons...lol....mine keeps calling me to get DSL...duh...I had DSL two years ago through MSN but run by BellSouth...after two weeks with no DSL when they kept blaming each other I picked up the phone, called Brighthouse and had cable in two days.

I keep reminding them of that when they call...and they are silent :1neko2:

Dusa, it is weird. It won't let me right click and save an image. Plus, the stupid-assed tech never showed and SBC repair said my appointment was from 2 p.m. until 8 p.m. Tuesday, not from 2-6 p.m. today, which is bullshit.

So, I can't get calls or make them from phone, unless it's my cell. Dumbasses.
