Last night, after a board meeting, I was doing a little surfing to get my mind off RL stuff and wound up on the CBS website reading the "favorites" and "bios" of the next Survivor contestants.
http://www.cbs.com/primetime/survivor11/

Anyone want to guess the top three before the show starts? :)

Do you see any info that makes you chuckle? (I was wondering, is camouflage a color? ;))

Which two are/were models?

Wow - guess how many have identical twins?!?!

Which two listed "Playboy" as their favorite magazine?

Who said "My background in psychology will allow me to pinpoint people's insecurities and weaknesses and to manipulate them to my advantage" ?

And finally, do you see anything that makes you gag?
(For example, Morgan's greatest achievement is allowing her parents to "live vicariously through her" )

Nuttin' on you Em dear ... but I'm flat sick o' Survivor.

The only way I'd watch again is if they did Survivor South Bronx or meehbee Survivor Compton.

Now that would be TV! :1chirol_c

Ok, wait a minute. The ex-NFL quarterback has no favorite sports teams? Strange.

I am an admitted Survivorphile. A.D.D.I.C.T.E.D. - and have seen every episode of every show since Season I. :)
Of this cast, my pre-hear-them-speak-and-see-them-in-action favs are: Cindy, Jim, Judd, Lydia.

Heartland, I post to another Survivor thread here: http://p208.ezboard.com/fholidayislandfrm14.showMessage?topicID=52.topic if you'd care to stop by and add comments there as well from time to time ... all are welcome :)

Thanks K-Cat! I'll join you there, I'm sure. I've also watched from the very beginning. I haven't checked the new crew out yet, but I plan to do that very soon.

I'm watching Big Brother now, and it's so much like a board war it makes my head spin. This is by far the most interesting Big Brother ever. I'd almost swear that the contestants are all copying their behavior from us! :1rotflmao

That's one I never watched. I am an Amazing Race fanatic tho :)

You think they have archives and files? ....or the dreaded SCREENSHOT? Oh my!

I hate Big Brother, but I like Amazing Race and Survivor. Hell, I'll watch "Tommy Lee goes to college" before I'll watch Big Brother.

I get excited about the places where they have the shows and the "themes". Most are not tourist destinations I'll ever see, and it's cool to see the clips of wildlife even though the contestants probably don't ever actually see these creatures.

Guatemala. Mayan civilization. How neat is that?!?!

Emily, that will be very cool. I really enjoy the travel/geography aspect of it too.

Base, I like Amazing Race, too. I think I like Big Brother because I like to see the changes that take place in the contestants after a few weeks. At least on Survivor, they can get off by themselves for awhile if they need to.

Last night was funnier than hell. They spent almost the entire show fighting and calling each other bitches 'n ho's. They even had a woman crying because her family was insulted, after she threw her family in someone's face. "Family shouldn't be attacked when they're not here to defend themselves." What do you want to bet that she learned that little pearl of wisdom on a chat board? :1rotfl2:

Maybe we're not so strange around here after all.

I was actually so bored the other night that I did sit down and watch some of that, LOL

Survivor fan for sure... watching them all too. Try to catch the ones I have missed on OLN. Guess Reubert is my overall fav survivor.

Also, started watching Amazing Race last season. Will not be missing it this season.

Only watching some of Big Brother this season as no other interesting reality shows are happening. Yes, I agree, it is the wild! lolo If I do not watch, I go to CBS for a catchup. Seems Julie the host ( married to Moonvesz (sp) the CBS CEO or Pres) is dragging this one out!

Will submit three contestants when I get back home... visiting my daughter in Oregon at the moment.... ya'll from the northwest are living in a beautiful land. Wowowow!

Wild guess! Brooke, Gary, Judd.... Watching personalities and sense of humors and quiet ones may totally change my opinion.

I can't really guess until I see them in action. Sometimes the one who looks the weakest and most fragile ends up making it to the end.

Survivor addict too. Doesn't it seem like the shows are getting easier on the survivors? I remember when they ate rats and their hair fell out.

Heartland

Hi Shad!

Yep, hair falling out, covered in sores, starving ... they do seem to have it a lot easier now. Maybe the health conditions worried the producer. Nothing like a survivor falling down dead to kill a show.

Looking forward to the new season too. I know I will never get to see the places they go and this may be my only chance. I like the Amazing Race too, but Big Brother leaves me pretty flat.

Hi heartland! How have you been?

I think you are right about too much "fallout"

I would love to live in a mayan ruin on this episode. Wonder what the surprise will be. Anyone see the sneak preview?

Heartland

I'm good, and you?

I missed the sneak preview. I don't think I could handle the bugs down there. They're bad enough here, I can't imagine what monster insects are down there. I am excited to watch it on TV, though. LOL!!

Doing great and enjoying the summer!

(I'm with you on the bugs)

I wonder if they will ever have a urban survivor? LOL

mewsicmama: I like the Amazing race also.

Big Brother I'm told is boring.
