Sheesh, not another one.
Yes, if my life partner was suddenly killed, the very first thing I'd do would be to go online and inform everyone who doesn't like him. Uh huh. But they always do that, don't they?
Any asshole who would fake their own death (or a loved one's, which has also been done before in our little corner of cyberland, and which I think is even worse) deserves every bit of bad karma that comes crashing down on them.

Peeep, there have been a couple of them from the eBay boards. Base would remember them better than me. I think one of them was SB101 or I might have her confused with someone else. They were from boards other than T&S on eBay.
Then there have been the multitude of deadbeat bidders who have used the death excuse, either on themselves or on a family member. I had one of those, and found he was bidding like crazy while supposedly being too grief-stricken to write and mail a check.

Last year a seller faked his own death on the ebay powerseller board. The story was that he was shot during a holdup while he was making a late night bank drop for his B&M. People sent donations to his widow even. She posted thanks-yous on the board and kept running both business. Now he's back and can't understand why some people treat him as if he is still dead.

I don't think I've ever had a close encounter with someone on the boards who's done the fake death.

Now he's back and can't understand why some people treat him as if he is still dead. That's the worst, when they manage to scam people out of their hard-earned money. I can't believe the guy can even manage to hold his head up, let alone return to the scene of his crime.

Was there a post somewhere else besides the Auction Watch that gave the actual notice? You linked to a story, but it has no last names to verify this.

Make him cough up an actual obituary, printed in the paper - ask for a link.

I had the sourse (Carl's board) linked to, along with a cut and paste of what was posted, but it seems Carl's board is now "cannot find server". He yanked the announcement out of embarassment?

Base, you mentioned an ezboard. Did he yank that announcement too? Where's the board?

It appears his ezboard was deleted as well.

You can close your board - but ezboard hardly ever removes them.

I remember a long thread at AW or OTWA in which a seller got the runaround from a buyer about her father passing away adn she had to go to Boston or something. Then while she was the there, her mother passed away.
Then the buyer got confused and I think, messed up the story somehow between all the deaths and funerals.
Finally, the seller received an email from the buyers "sister" who was writing to inform the seller that the buyer was killed by a drunk driver.
It's just always a drunk driver in these scenarios.
could be true - you never know...
i mean - for instance - i was killed by a drunk driver...
er well...
- i really could have been have you people no heart...!?

I suspected all along that Dusa was from the spirit world.

The fucktard was perhaps killed in a Drive-By Fruiting in a previous life. God only knows what the coward will come back as the next time.
