Read this on slashdot, the other day.

I've had extensive discussions with Ray, way back when he was in the Music Business. Like, in the early to mid 80's.

And just TODAY:

Now look, MuckleTroll's afraid of his ideas!

Poor poor Muckletroll. All concerned about his imaginary god.

Gee I wonder how the arrogance proposed here will go down with the 'Boss'..??? hmmm

This Blogger gets WHY MuckleTroll is frightened:

While terrorists will view the new technology as a new method of destroying everyone who is of a different religion, they better hold off a minute. After all, this brave new world may result in the total lack of religion. If we can live forever, do we really need religion to give us eternal life?

By Joel Garreau

"Technologies are modifying important things about what it means to be human," Mr. Garreau says in the cluttered, book-crammed study of his northeastern Fauquier home. "For the first time in history, our technologies are increasingly aimed inward at modifying our minds, memories, metabolisms, personalities, progeny and possibly our souls."

possibly our souls

Be afraid, MuckleTroll, be very afraid!

Great stuff, ross. Thanks for posting it. Now I am a little impressed--you know Kurzweil? We all know one of these amazing characters, but Kurzweil is more amazing than most.

When Muckletroll said "the 'Boss'", I thought he meant "Ross."

you know Kurzweil? At his humble beginning stage.

Back when Kurzweil Keyboards had a tiny 10x10 booth at the NAMM show. Lucky for me, I was working in a small booth, not too far from his.

Yes. Had some very interesting conversations in the 80's.
