I don't think so...
Things will pick up again. It is summer, people have things to do and spend less time on the boards.

rOss,
I'm wondering if you've been following the self-help information at the help forums. These are the main things people are doing to find their old posts:
Wayback machine,
Changing topic numbers in "invisible" threads,
Temp and cache files on personal computers,
Changing General Setting format from "ez classic" to "hybrid".
I've spent hundreds of hours jumping through these hoops to no avial, but a few boards are reporting success with these methods. Just wanted to give you a shout, since Step Five is around the corner, and after that it's all moot.
Let me know if you want to try any of these methods and I'll point you to the instructive links. If not, they are still holding out hopes for that final step this weekend.
Take care, we're almost there.

Flawed, I'd say to have a little further patience. Last night (and still ongoing judging by the Board's slow speed) our Board has been restored to a very large extent.
One Forum I was particulary distressed about losing (A READ ONLY Forum which contained pages and pages of very useful resource material) has now magically reappeared intact. Well, mostly intact ... some replies are missing.
There IS some hope on this, and the restoral process is slow, but wait and see. You may be pleasantly surprised over the next few days.

This board has always gone through periods of inactivity, usually followed by periods of much activity. 2 or 3 weeks of relative inactivity hasn't ever made a difference in the number of lurkers/posters or has mattered much to anyone who has been using this site for years...

well - this time seems especially dull...
entertain me now...!
and - i expect - real quality...
no more of this boring stuff...
or - you're all fired...
...(entertaining myself - in the meanwhile - in my wonderful fantasy world - where you all do my laundry / cooking / answer the stupid telephone - etc.)...
