Who started the whole 11c violation thing? Anyone remember the order of events?

I'm having trouble putting it all straight in my head ...

Chops did. I think he has the EZ TOU memorized. He started reporting anyone who quoted him on any ezboard, and he encouraged his members to do the same. In fact, if a member didn't do it quickly enough for his taste, he'd remind them. Then it was the privacy violations, even though he has posted full names -- first name in one post, last name in the next post. He is such a skank.

Thanks, Ross - that's what I thought - that it was either Hepburn or Mejayne ... when I was reading this evening I caught a post over at TCW, decrying the 11c complaints, blaming those complaints (among other things) for the demise of all the ezboards ... so I had to get it straight in my head as to how that all started ...

Since I didn't know Mivona or Hep when it started, I didn't know that. In my former corner of Ezboard, it started with CHOPS. And he was rabid about it, where TRB and RJ were concerned.

Started at BiteMe. I was quoting left and right in reply to the regular bullshit going on. Then the Fresh Fields thing happened and MIVONA and a few others filed complaints..ran to TRB and said how to do it..then others started complaining. Then some at TRB started saying "you may quote me" to other Rossites at TRB since it was turning into such a ruckus. Then I moved the private threads MURIEL sent me from Fresh Fields over to Sneakys board so I wouldnt be in "violation". So who started it all? Mivona. She complained. Its in TRB somewhere...go ask Rosshole.

I posted this in the other thread, but the way I remember it is that Hep had BiteMe by then, and was in a frenzy of fury, grabbing posts off of TRB and posting them on her board. Miv, and no doubt a few others, reported it. So for our corner of the EZ-World, you can say it was Miv and the others, or you can say it was the person who was melting down and doing the copying of posts.

Who started it is a small point in my mind.

The larger point is that it was the behavior of a few attention whores who finally drove Duhmello to "hate" all the oai/t&s bullshit.

I don't care whether I like the person/board or not. Indulging in that kind of behavior makes you a pain in the ass. It makes you a customer nobody wants.

You have a business. You have X hours a day that you want to put into it. 5% of your customers give you 90% of the grief. Easy fix - get rid of the 5%.

Of course then you have Duhmello, whom no one can claim is the brightest bulb on any tree, so the Deli and IceHoles get hurt.

And you have ezBoard in general which just sucks and is prone to crashing at any time and which has customer service reps that should really be serving food in paper hats (the servers should be in the hats, not the food).

It's a Comedy of Fucktards - from the lead players to the bit players. From the piece of shit that calls itself a message board provider to the whiners that thought they were accomplishing something by putting themselves on Demello's radar. That all this noise is happening now is no surprise. The two boards that took it in the shorts and became collateral damage seem to be taking it like... oh what's the word? Ooh! I know: adults.
