I don't know if I can post this javascript link here or not, but I did anyway. I think the interview with Nagin really does carry a powerful statement. I just hope his pleas are heard.

About the thugs that have so far raped an estimated 50 women - including teen-aged girls, murdered at least 10 people, shot at police and National Guard, assaulted countless people simply because they were white, and cleaned out every business in town.
"We have some nuckleheads", he says.

About the thug who diverted the money to prevent this disaster which caused the death of THOUSANDS of American Citizens, because he wanted the money for his dirty little war.
He's a great president, according to Cartman.

lol
That shows how little you liberal types understand about how the government works.
Congress approves expenditures - not the President. Congress approved the war (by a wide margin) and all the supplemental spending bills to support it (also by wide margins).
The President has NO authority to spend money on anything, less Congress gives him that authority!
If you don't like the current state of disaster preparations, take it up with your members of Congress.
... and YES - I think President Bush is a GREAT President - certainly the best we have had since Reagan!

http://www.punditguy.com/images/buses.jpg
There are 205 of these. 205 school buses that could have been used last Sunday to evacuate the poor and those without transportation out of the city. 205 buses that could have saved lives. 205 buses that could have stopped the atrocity at the Superdome. 205 buses that could have prevented the starvation, the dehydration, the stench and the death at the New Orleans Convention Center.
TWO.HUNDRED.AND.FIVE.
Mayor Ray Nagin, why are you blaming and pointing fingers (http://www.brendanloy.com/2005/09/its-busses-stupid.html) at the federal government?
Why didn't you save your citizens on Sunday?
Why are these buses under water?
All 205 of 'em.

I heard a woman on either FOX or CNN saying she and others who were stranded (white) travelers living in a mall food court were racially attacked and feared for their lives. I can't say that this is the norm because MOST people in the South get along well. But when in the past I've said here "there is no such thing as a 60's racial lynching" anymore, and "shit happens more often in reverse", people claim I'm a racist lier purely by historical geography. I hope people are watching tv.

Cartman, Congress gave Bush unprecedented power after 9/11. Maybe you should do your homework.
"Us liberal types" are going to be getting a lot louder and lot meaner. We've learned well from you loudmouth types.

Senator,
You said:
About the thug who diverted the money to prevent this disaster which caused the death of THOUSANDS of American Citizens, because he wanted the money for his dirty little war.If you wouldn't mind, please explain to us simple minded folks just where this money would have been spent, and how it would have been used (and where it came from) before the President stole it for his war.

Yes that's true. But what you left out is they voted based on lies from the administration about Saddam having WOM. You mean you've forgotten about the yellow cake?

LOL @ Cartman trying to weasel out of the hole he's dug for himself.
If Sidney Blumenthal is a liar, then prove it.
I realize you won't accept anything unless it comes from the National Review, but some of us are more well-read than that.

Here is an article from the horse's mouth - talking about cuts NEXT YEAR (that haven't even been approved yet).
http://www.findarticles.com/p/articles/mi_qn4200/is_20050606/ai_n14657367
In addition to a hiring freeze, Jeselink canceled the annual Corps picnic held every June. Oh, the horror!
... but let me get this straight. The HUNDREDS OF MILLIONS that were already spent didn't prevent the disaster - but the 71 million that they were going to cut NEXT YEAR somehow caused the disaster?
Yeah, that's it. I see your reasoning now.

I haven't read the entire thread yet. Has anyone tried to blame things on Clinton yet? Has anyone claimed that Clinton's blow job was the end of civilization as we know it so what's a little hurricane among friends?
