Speaking of wacked chicks ... Ariana Huffington? I don't take anything she says seriously, especially since she matter-of-factly announced on Bill Maher's show that the U.S. was saving all of the women in Iraq, who were forced to wear burkhas before we got there. Even when she was corrected by Maher and the rest of the panel, she insisted that the women of Iraq were forced to wear burkhas.

She had absolutely no clue that the women in Iraq are going to be much worse off under Shiite rule than they were under Saddam's secular rule.

For every wacked man or woman on one side of the political line, you can always find an equally wacked man or woman on the other side. Unfortunately, the wacky ones (on both sides) get all the press.

Too true.

I don't know who Anna Huffington is, I guess it is related to the site I linked, anyway the article is from Cindy herself, not Anna, in case that was what you were getting at.

It is indeed the crazies that get the press, but only because people feed on that stuff. Probabll something to do with human nature and boredom from the common stuff.

No, I knew she didn't write that. She does have a column on that site, however. The name "Huffington" set off my radar, so I looked around a bit. I still can't find if it is actually Ariana Huffington's site or something else.

Ariana Huffington was a talking head on the cable news networks. She was used to bring in to represent a view from the left when they would interview someone from both sides. She threw her hat into the ring for California Governor during that debacle. She started this website, giving herself a voice, and apparently is taking on columnists. I wouldn't call it journalism. If you have liberal or anti-Bush views you can sure find a lot of opinion to cut and paste though.

I think it is, Sandy. Found this ...With the Huffington Post, we want to take those conversations -- about politics and books and art and music and food and sex -- and bring them into cyberspace, which is where so many of us spend so much of our time these days.
