I agree with the assholes.... those "scammed" and "confused" buyers are too retarded to ebay. Sorry, but it's true. They willingly give passwords and pin numbers to emails that "sound official", yet those "official" emails are written so obviously by a foreigner at the 1st grade level. The 1st grade level is where the victims operate (obviously!), or they wouldn't have fallen for it, and that renders them too dumb to be here, IMO. All the scam emails sound like something blissmeister or cartman would write, and no idiot in their right mind would take either of them seriously, nor their child-like, retarded, grammar. It's like some cheap, Russian porn flick... Sandy, in response to your question, I would always take the gentle route with someone who is reasonable, but these people are blaming eBay and demanding they close their accounts, etc., which to me is unreasonable.

Oh, the ebay Trash & Slander board - naw, I don't read there so there is about zero chance I will understand anything about Rod's new friends, but lord Knows he needs some.

Base, yes, it's unreasonable, but you know as well as I do that when people come to the boards with a problem, they can be highly emotional. Some "helpers" (and I use that term loosely) tend to take that personally for some reason, and respond in the same emotional manner. It never works out well, especially for the newbie.

If I've explained something calmly until I'm blue in the face and they're still screaming irrationally, then yes, I'd probably try to smack a little sense into them, or I'd just give up. But I wouldn't come out swinging, and I wouldn't try to antagonize them into becoming even more emotional by telling them what an idiot they are or making fun of them.

Face it, some of us are blessed with common sense and some aren't. This world is loaded with ignorant people and a good portion of them are using eBay. It's not their fault that they aren't as smart or informed as some others. That's why they've come to the board, after all. If they already knew the answers, they wouldn't be asking the questions.

A couple of posters were able to reach through the emotion and help. The others were only showing off for each other. It's the same old game there.
