Hey...a technical question for you Canadians....
.....once I get moved to NY in 3 weeks; since I will be about 45 minutes from Ottawa, an hour and half or so from Montreal, and 10 minutes from the bridge.....can I get "Honorary Canuck" status??? :D

The only requirements for "Honorary Canadian Status" are the following.....
1.......You must be able to name five brands of Canadian Beer
2.......You must pronounce "Z" as "zed not zee"
3.......You should be able to name at least seven of the Canadian provinces, and ..........their Capitals
4.......You must wear a toque in the winter with the logo of one of the ...........original five NHL hockey teams on it
5.......You must be overly polite
I am sure that "Wench" will be able to add to this list, and there will be no problems with your Honorary citizenship.

Oh now bullshit! :irollers2
1-I don't drink beer so I dont care....does having a deep affection for Canadian Club count???
2-I can work on that one....only took me about 3 years to start saying "ya all" once I moved to the south.
3-Geography....OK....will do that one *IF* i get time to cram for the mid-term *OR* am allowed to have cheat sheets hid in my underwear!
4-the hat is fine...not sure i will ever be "into" hockey tho....how about football or bowling???
5-I can kiss up pretty good....and already say "eh?" at the end of many sentences!
What is confusing me is that Gabsy from OTWA that lives over by Toronto said all it takes to qualify is a willingness to be spanked by a dominatrix and know how to say "yes ma'am" real well!!???!! :i-roller: She wouldn't be just messin' with me would she??? :D

This one has always baffled me (EH?), as a Canadian, I do not hear this being said. It myst be a Toronto/Eastern Canadian thing.
Goodness you can drink tea/coffee/milk/coke/pepsi here. I'll not hold you to this either.
Kissing up (to Americans) is rather commonplace in Canada, If you dont, the Prime Minister Never gets an invite to that great 'ole ranch in Texas owned by "dubba-u" :1eek2:
You seem like a kinda nice peep, I'd let you in with "wonderful Guest" priviledges.

I dont know about this, It must be an Eastern thing as well, we all know that once you pass the Ontario border into Manitoba, you are in "Gods Country!"
The above statements are to be read with tongue in cheek, and are not meant to offend anyone!
