Faire's really not my "cup of tea", but:

Mrs. Ross. She adores Faire. She is a guild member for Southern California and Vegas Faires, and she knew a ton of people at Northern California Faire (where we went).

Me? I just don't get into it. I had a business appointment in San Francisco on Friday, and she was all like: "Oh! Faire's on Sat. Last weekend! Take me!"

She was all dressed up, I was in Black Jeans and a Black Tee Shirt, my brown Uggs (too dusty for the black ones), and a lightweight Camo Hunter's Coat.

She and I walked around one time, thru the faire. My fave part was watching her do some fencing. She had 2 matches, lost one 5-4 won one 5-2.

Then I went and found a nice place to sit, and ate and drank, read a book while she cavorted with her merry band of friends. Ick. Not my cup of tea, I'll tell ya.

Fucking 13 bucks for 2 eight oz beers? What a rip off. Good thing they allow flasks.

:1eek2: That's $6.50 a beer! Highway robbery! It's normally around $4 at the festivals here, and the cups are bigger than 8 oz ... probably 12 oz cups.

Yes it is, for draught beer. They must've made a killing. It probably cost them about 20 cents per cup, if that.

I've just started liking beer again, after years of not liking it. I like the medium to dark beers now. Strange.
