Today I watched 'A Simple Plan' ... found it laying in a pile of DH's thrift-finds, and hadn't seen it ... then I found out it was filmed 'back home' in a town I knew well, so I had to fast forward through again and look for places I might recognize ...

It was decent ... good Billy Bob Thornton as yet another oddball ... one of those morality tales about how one event can turn everything to shit real easily ... a bit heavy-handed in the symbolism, but Sam Raimi is a friend of the Coen's, and he sure knows how to film in the snow ...
