Erma Ina, as she was still called when she was spotted in southwestern Sichuan Province, was photographed by a traveler who subsequently posted her pictures in an online travel journal.

It was not long before the post gained hundreds of thousands of hits, and she was rechristened by anxious netizens as "Tianxian MM", which means "beautiful like a fairy".

Now she is getting more exposed by media and has expressed her willingness to become a tourism ambassador for her hometown.

The name "Tianxian MM" has been already registered as a trademark by a man in the southern city of Guangzhou.

The picture of "Hongxing MM"

Recently in southwest China's capital of Sichuan Province, Chengdu, a post on a website named "With Regards to the Transportation Policewoman under the Hongxing Bridge" became unexpectedly hot.

The article writes about a policewoman who is on duty under the bridge. The writer posts a silhouetted picture of the policewoman and dedicates poems to praise the beautiful and hardworking girl.

The posts received responses at once. Many net surfers began to call the girl "Hongxing MM". Some even paid visits to the Hongxing Bridge just to catch a glimpse of the real "Hongxing MM".

When asked to explain the motivation of his post, the writer says he looks at the policewoman as a representative of China's millions of police officers and wanted to show his regards in this way.

How do all those Internet stars get thrust into the limelight? It seems that Chinese Internet surfers are in favor of making their own celebrities.

I think you ought to bill your act: Powerhouse & His Peace-pumping Penis. See if you can train it to lift a barbell... you'll be a sensation :) (Well, *I'd* pay to see that, anyway!)
