My younger sister and brother-in-law signed up with an adoption agency in June to adopt from Guatemala.

They got the call yesterday, IT'S A GIRL!
6lb 9oz 19inches, born August 19th.
Sis hasn't decided on a name yet, but my new niece will be home with my sister in February sometime.
Sis and BIL will visit in about 8 weeks, then go back to bring the baby home.

I don't think they'll be going with a name that starts with a D.

Mom went a little overboard by naming us all D's and my youngest son is Damian.

Although, I happen to like Deb as well. ;)

My new niece's name has been selected.

Her name is: Annelise (pronounced Anna lease)

Proud Auntie can't wait for her to be here to spoil! :)

Well, it's past February, but the good news is, Sis and BIL are in Guatemala waiting for their embassy appointment to bring Annelise home.

anyway - beautiful name for a beautiful baby - (the earlier pics did load - and - in any case - all babies are - absolutely - beautiful) - i'm happy for your sister and bil... :)

She's a beautiful baby with a beautiful name.

My granddaughter's name is Annalise. Such lovely children to carry on the legacy of Anne Frank's given name. Our Anna is the light of my life.
