Foods or Spices you've bought on Ebay
I 'm wondering if anyone can recommend a seller that they've bought food from in the past.
I know that Bon's fudge was great, but she doesn't offer it till the fall.
I've seen lots of spices offered also, but never bought any.
So has anyone tried anything that was really good?

I've always wondered about this. I've been leery of buying food on eBay. Can't wait to see what others have to say...

It's been a year or so since I've had them but the maple cookies were mmmmmm....
chocomagic
Nice lady too. I've ordered those cookies more than once. :) I also ordered the lemon cookies and thought they were good, but a bit too lemony for my taste. And, I ordered a bar variety pack as a gift for my FIL (had it sent to him). He said they were good but I can't vouch for them personally.

A year or so ago I bought a lot of seeds for sprouting (for salads) from someone on eBay. I don't remember the seller but they have sprouted really well, which reminds me that I need to put another batch in the sprouter.
Has anyone bought pure vanilla extract from an ebayer? My store bought bottle is getting low and with prices so high, I would be willing to buy from ebay if the price is right.

Debbie,
I just looked at Chocomagics items. I was going to buy a loaf of Chocolate Banana bread, even though it's pricey. But when I checked the shipping on her calculator, it said it would be $11.10 to ship to me!!!

I um sell food at online auction (chocolates and candied nuts) but have chosen a smaller site (SYI) because the food category on eBay makes me very uncomfortable due to the types of products found there. (I do however sell non-food items on eBay.)
I've also bought food items from auction sellers and have enjoyed good luck every time (except for some fresh herbs that wilted in the mail). It's a wonderful opportunity to try new foods. :)
IME food lovers will give very specific and generous feedback if they enjoyed the food item. So if you're tempted, check the feedback comments. You want to see more "wow best fudge EVER!!!!" and fewer "well packaged arrived promptly thanks" type comments.
Good luck & have fun!

I've purchased chocolates from Ms. Chocolate (yum and no problems shipping here even though it's usually pretty hot), pecans, and vanilla beans. The beans weren't nearly as nice as those from Penzey's - but they weren't as costly either.

OK, now I'm hungry.......
I'll report back if I find something to order. :D
