Site for Calories and Carbs?

I've been using this site to calculate carbs.

Does anyone know of a similar site for calories and carbs, or barring that, just calories?

Thanks in advance,
Sadie

Sadie,

Here is a site with lots of nutrition & fitness tools. Hope it helps. FWIW, I've found that the diabetic sites have lots more of those sorts of tools than regular weight-management sites.

And here's another one.

I like this one. Gives loads of info and covers name brand as well as general foods.

Last but not least...

I LOVED Fitday when I was tracking carbs and weight. It's totally free and you plug in the foods you eat for the day and it would track carbs, calories, fat etc. You could get all sorts of charts with your weight, carbs, etc. Awesome site for dieters on any program.

Wayne (who is not affliated with fitday in any way) :D

http://www.calorieking.com is a good one too, especially for chain restaurants and fast food places.

I really like CalorieKing too. They also have a terrific program called "Desktop Diet Diary" to help you keep track of what you're doing, and keep you within your goal. I highly recommend it.

You all are awesome!

I'm going to check them all out and bookmark them. Thank you!

The low carb thing isn't working this time. I've been at the same weight for about two weeks and I'm eating less than 20 carb grams per day - and I'm religious about writing everything down and weighing portions and I even round up or count carbs for things that say zero on the label.

I'm hoping a combination of low carb; low calorie will jump-start me.

Thanks again!

Peace,
Sadie

Sadie,

You may not be getting enough carbs. Try a day of slightly more carbs (or some people even say high good carbs). Then drop back. Your body may be in starvation mode.

Good Luck

I didn't do the low carb thing...just counted calories or did Weight Watchers (which is pretty much the same thing in disguise). Anyway, what Sandy said worked for me when I hit a plateau. I'd eat more for a couple of days and then magically start losing weight again. :) I tended to overdo, and not eat enough...apparently scared the old bod into hanging on to every calorie for dear life.

Sandy and Toke,

Thank you for the encouragement and the tip. :)

I don't think I'll have problem eating more carbs for awhile. I'm sitting here at just before 7am craving a big pile of cauliflower.

I'm not missing sweets or breads, but the produce section has been trying to seduce me for days.

It felt weird to write Day 1 in my food log this morning.

Peace,
Sadie

Thanks to the mysterious person behind the curtain who moved this thread here! :D

I've been using FitDay that Wayne recommended. I really like it now that I'm geting used to it! :)
