I'd really like him to come here when he's done grieving so strongly. But does anyone have a way to contact him? Can you please do it if you can?

He is a nice man and funny as hell. I hope he's doing OK in light of losing a beloved part of his family.

I just sent him a PM over at OTWA.

I'll report back if he responds. :)

hey ive had a awful week so far , my mom got over heated on tuesday and was sick wednesday she pretty much sat in my recliner all day then on thursday i had the scare of my life this morning my mom was walking around in a daze then tried to get in the car and drive she ran over a street sign then my fence i took her to the hospital and she refused to go in they wouldnt admit her i was sooo mad i then took her home and she got better till 4 pm then she callasped in the living room i couldnt do anything to get her to respond, i called 911 and had a amblance come over i was really worried all day, the doctor said her blood sugar was 30 and that caused it, shes here now and iam worried it will happen again , iam sooo thankful that she didt drive off i met her in the driveway when i came home from buying my fishing stuff and seen what she was doing and had jumped out my truck and into her car and put the brake on

then after she got home from the hospital she seem much better till 4am , she callasped on the floor again and this time i didnt find her for a hour at 5 am i got her up and she hurt her knee both elbows and had a black eye and scraped nose , i took her back to the hospital this morning where she spent about 3 hours there and released her again , she look terrible could hardly talk much less walk , i pretty much when back in the doctors office and made a ass out myself saying something aint right you need to look at her again , they got her back in there gave her something else to help raise the sugar level and shes looking better now ,i keep waking her up every hour to see if shes just sleeping or is sick iam bugging her alot, i wont get much sleep tonight wondering if shes gonna fall again , annnnnnnyway thats what ive been up to

I'm sorry to hear this, george. My mom did this, too. The doctor told me to give her GatorAde. So, maybe that will help, along with the meds. Just tossing out an idea.

My dad also did the fainting bit, his was heart related. Are the docs checking her heart? Or is it just known to be a blood sugar issue?

Hang in there! :1hug2:

Wow, George, that's rough! Hang in there. :1hug1:

When things slow down for you, there is something I've been meaning to tell you. It's about my 4 yr old son's recent cheeto cravings...thought you might have some advice, or warning signs - you know, stuff to look out for before it becomes an addiction. ;)

Wow, george. We've all been wondering where you were, but had no idea things had taken that bad a turn at home.
I am glad you kept a close eye on your mom and made sure she got proper treatment. Sounds like you both have had a very difficult time.
Will just keeping a supply of candy around be enough, or should they be taking more active measures on her?
I recall not too long ago a congressman or something like that up north developed the same condition while driving and killed someone. Bad stuff.

You and your Mom are in my prayers, buddy.

Remember to take care of yourself too, while you are taking care of her. ;-)

Oh George :1kiss1: ...I know we had that little fling on Valentines day five years ago. I'll never forget the chocolate body oil I used to get the cheeto crumbs out from between your toes, but my little guy wasn't born until November 2000 and he couldn't possibly...

Oh

My

Gosh

!!!!!!!

Aaaaaack - does anybody here know where I can get a paternity test done?!?!? ;)

george, you've been having a really rough time this past month. I'm still sorry about your beautiful dog, and now this problem with your mom. I don't know what she would have done without you there to look out for her. Imagine if she were alone. But you're going through some trouble.

I'll be thinking of both of you all the time. I hope they find out what's causing your mom's blood sugar to keep dropping so low.

Anyway, thank God you're there. Don't forget to take care of yourself during all of this, or you won't be any good to her, either. xo

Uuuuuuh....yeah.

That's pretty much a hug. Just hope the woman you're hugging can breathe after a hug like that.

So how's your mom doing today George?
